FEDERATION OF PORTUGUESE CANADIAN BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONALS Francine Antonio

Over the past seven years, the Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business and Professionals (FPCBP), with the  help of its generous sponsors and members, has awarded more than 150 scholarships totalling approximately $365,000.00 to youth of Portuguese descent  who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. The FPCBP continues to be very grateful for the ongoing support it receives from its many generous sponsors who year after year continue to support this long-standing community tradition.  Education is one of the FPCBP’s founding  pillars and we are pleased to continue to honour and pay tribute to this core principle.

Boasting the oldest and largest scholarship program in the community, the FPCBP is proud to be able to once again recognize the academic excellence of Portuguese- Canadian youth.

On Saturday, February 21st, 2009 the FPCBP will be hosting a special Excellence Awards Gala at Pearson Convention Center – a long-time supporter and member of the FPCBP. At the event, the FPCBP will also be recognizing prominent business people and professionals in the community in the following categories: Business Excellence, Professional Excellence, Civic Commitment, and New Generation.  This tradition celebrates the achievements and strengths of our vibrant community.
